Shoes - I've no idea! I got them while I was on my road trip, they were really cheap and I don't expect them to last a long time but I love the colour

When classic became avant-garde

Here's the thing about me: I hate red. I've always hated the colour and haven't worn it since I started picking my own clothes which I've been doing for, lets face it - quite some time now.
However, my birthday was about a week ago and I got this very feminine red Miss Sixty top from my cousin. Which seemed very ironic to me since there are hardly any people that don't know about me, red and how we don't go together.
I decided to make it a big exception and wear the thing since, as much as it hurts me to say it - I actually like myself wearing it.
So hear it is - the red top - dark denim - silver accents - outfit which made me feel like the most exotic thing walking down the street while fitting in completely.

And yes, I still have nothing good to say about the colour but I'm taking it as a challenge to style it in the most untypical ways from now on. And I'm thinking light lime yellow!

DIY Outfit of the day

Another outfit of the day, this time mostly diy. I just bleached a pair of denim shorts (cut from old jeans) and I was planning on dying them but I liked them so much I left the dye for another pair! I feel like it has a bit of an 80s' feel to it although personally I hate the 80s' and this is as close as I'm getting to them. The top I printed myself last year and since it's gotten a bit baggy I used a brooch to add some shape to it (and keep it from falling off my chest)

Goofy smile thanks to my boyfriend singing Pinky and the Brain theme song ... seriously.

Outfit of the day - Placement interview

So today I finally got to dress up a bit and decided to share my boho outfit. I imagine it might seem like something you'd wear to the beach for some people but I live on the seaside and it's actually normal for people here to wear more casual outfits even to work. Plus, I believe in dressing-up garments to suit the occasion.

Sunsine nails

I've been wanting a nice milky/sunny yellow polish in a long time and luckily for me I managed to find the perfect one!
It's from a German brand called Essence and I'm pretty sure you can't find them in the UK. Which is a shame since it's one of my favourite highstreet brands, especially for nail polishes. They're incredibly long-lasting, very shiny, come in gorgeous colours and what I like the most - come in small 5ml bottles. I've never in my life gone through a nail polish before it got bad, yet they're usually heavy if you're on the go. These are the perfect size to carry around, use up (hopefully) and are reliable.
This is also my firs time using a glitter on my nails. I've always been a solid 'matte nails, anti-glitter' person but it seems I've spent too much time on tumblr because I ended up getting a very much glittery polish. And God forbid, I actually like it on my yellow nails. I doubt I'll get a lot of use out of it but it's nice to have the choice.
So the shades I got are 95 Wanna be your sunshine and 04 Space Queen and this is the result:

Space Queen
I don't usually use a top coat with these polished but since I put glitter on I used my Rimmel Super Wear Pro top coat. Rimmel nail polished are another love of mine, especially with the new wide brushed they have - highly recommend.
